According to Article 151 of the Labor Code 2019, the conditions for foreign employees working in Vietnam are as follows:
- Being 18 years old or older and having full civil capacity.
- Having professional qualifications, technical skills, work experience; and meeting the health requirements set by the Minister of Health.
- Not being a person serving a sentence or having an unexpunged criminal record, or being under investigation for criminal liability under the laws of foreign countries or Vietnamese law.
- Having work permit issued by the competent state authority of Vietnam, except in cases specified in Article 154 of the Labor Code 2019 .
